Calcul Québec Launches Summer Quantum Computing Program

Calcul Québec is launching a new program that enables students to carry out projects involving quantum computing. This initiative offers free access to MonarQ, a 24-qubit superconducting quantum computer, along with specialized support throughout the summer of 2025.

We’ve designed a flexible program so that students can propose their own project ideas. Even small-scale projects are valuable in this field,” explains Lydia Vermeyden, Director of New Services at Calcul Québec. She emphasizes that the team of analysts will support participants throughout their projects, providing high-level technical and scientific expertise..

To be eligible, projects must be led by students enrolled at a Quebec university and must be submitted and completed before August 29, 2025.
